" Mobility, attachment and place experience: An experiential mapping study of Erasmus students new to Bristol. "

This dissertation explored the relationship between mobility and attachment and its influence on gaining a sense of place, particularly amongst the new international students of Bristol.
The experiential mapping technique demonstrated a thorough investigation of place illustrating a range of experiences. This technique has allowed for a deep analysis portraying the intimacy of the student’s experience of Bristol. The diagrammatic approach eased the formulation of relationships and helped recognise the connections and associations that may not have been identified through other data collection methods.
